Gaylord Race

Got Snow?? Over 2 feet up there this weekend!  Saturday's race was a blast.  Logan took 1st in the first heat, a 3rd in the second heat (against the top 3 riders) and not so good in the last heat but only because the sled was run a little too fat accidentally.  Then to the pro track (final race)- it was on and  Lo  raced his butt off.  He was neck & neck with the 2nd place rider at the top but cut a little wider that he should (we are all learning) and took a well earned 3rd.  He did end up with a second place trophy though due to another racer getting disqualified for blocking.  Over all he rode the best he has yet.  The sled is running excellent, what a difference in both from the last few races.  We are learning and it shows!  My dad & Brian went back to the cabin and immediately started working on the sled.  They wanted to switch gears and change the clutch a little to give Logan a bit more for Sunday. We were so dissapointed to get to the race to have them tell us it was cancelled.  We were sooo ready!  Nothing you can do in blizzard conditions, extreme winds, and -6 below.  Good thing is, everything is set and ready to go for our next race in Cadillac!  We are so proud of Logan.  He is so focused and he knows it is within his reach, most importantly he has a ball out there.  Extra thanks to Gram & Gramps for their late nights and early mornings devoting their time to creating the "perfect sled".  We love you!
