All About Logan

Logan Scott is now 6 1/2. He is growing up so fast. I think it just seems that way because he has done so much for such a little guy! Already a blackbelt in Karate, he has now joined World Power Sports Racing team and will compete in his 1st snowmobile race December 8th & 9th in Sault Ste. Marie Canada. He has many other hobbies though, playing with friends, soccer, computers, rollerblading, scooters, 4-wheelers. Logan is also learning a ton this year in 1st grade. He received 94% above the national average on the Iowa state test - a 1st grade test that he took at the beginning of 1st grade. Right now he is studing the states, U.S. Presidents, multiplication, Spanish, and has completed 2 book reports so far. I don't think I accomplished any of that until like the 6th grade but I guess times have really changed. Above all, Logan has a heart as big as they come. Yea he has his moments, but he would give you his last anything. Brian sometimes tells him "you need to thicken your skin buddy", but I think its wonderful the way he cares for others yet can hold his own when needed. Logan nickname is Toots, its been that way since he has been a baby. I don't think he is going to let us call him that much longer though. He is adored by all, especially his Grandpa & Grandma (he has them wrapped around every finger). His favorite foods are calimari, steak, shrimp, no i'm not kidding, apples and watermelon too. He likes to play uno (he does not like to loose), listen to his I-Pod, play play station or wii, and spend time with Grandma & Grandpa. His best friends are his sister Kendra, Johnathon, Chase, & Jeremy. He claims to have 2 girlfriends, Faith & Sara, but I beg to differ!!

All About Kendra

Kendra D. is already 10! Boy time sure does fly. Although we dont get to see Kendra as much as we would like, we look forward to the times we are able to spend with her! Kendra is very smart and very mature. Kendra is always good to her brother & sister. Logan says she is his best friend. Her favorite color is green and light sky blue, Her favorite sports are volleyball & hockey, and her favorite food is buttered noodles. She likes to play soccer after school with all of her friends but her best friends are Allie, and Mariei. Her favorite T.V. show is & quote;Life With Derek & quote. Ken & I have just started e-mailing and I always look forward to her
e-mails!
I do know that Kendra is loved a great deal by all her families!

All About Ella Rae

Our Ella Rae is now 3 1/2! Born April 29th, 2004, she was sassy from the start. EllaRae is NEVER wrong and you WILL listen to her. As sassy as she is she will steal your heart the minute she looks at you with her huge hazel eyes. Although her attitude is the complete opposite of her brother, she sure has his smarts. Her 1st year at Brookfield Academy this year and she already knows some spanish, all her shapes, counting, and has even had her first spelling words. Ella Rae loves chocolate, pizza, chips, and just about all other junk food. She began karate at 18 months and received her orange belt but has found a love for rollerskating this past year. She already claims to like boys rather than girls (except her brother). Ella Rae loves to sing and knows close to 30 songs. She enjoys collecting just about everything under the sun! She likes to craft, to do her nails and make-up, and loves perfume. Her nickname is snoozy and her favorite movies are Care Bears journey to joke-a-lot, Surfs Up, and The Grinch!

Thanksgiving at our cabin-2007

This year, as we did last, we spent our Thanksgiving vacation up north at our cabin. There is not a better place in the world to celebrate a family holiday! Logan & Ella are in heaven every time we go up, so much to do. This year we spent our time playing games, riding snowmobiles, snowball fighting, cooking huge breakfasts, shooting 22's, hunting, I could go on & on, but most importantly, spending quality time with each other. On Thanksgiving night, we spent time with our Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, & our Nona gathered around a cozy fireplace playing & chatting until 2 a.m. What could be better? Time to be thankful for each other, our great feast, and yes of course the cabin. Can't wait until our Christmas Vacation!
